It is important that all students must attend every class. DanceSations cannot accommodate students who miss class due to illness or otherwise. Please report all illnesses and absences before the start of class by phone or email. All students are responsible for learning missed choreography for any classes missed due to sickness or travel. Students must arrange this with the instructor. If a student misses more than two classes the instructor reserves the right to not let the student participate in the recital if the student does not make effort to learn missed choreography.
In the event of inclement weather, please contact us.
Students are expected to behave appropriately in order to maintain a positive and effective dance environment. Students must be respectful of themselves and others and the facility. A parent will be notified if student is consistently disruptive. Absolutely no gum chewing will be acceptable at any time. Failure to meet these expectations may result in a student not being able to participate due to the safety concerns.
All students are required to participate in our annual dance recital and if applicable summer dance recital held at the end of the year/program. Students must attend rehearsal and extra rehearsals if specified by the instructor.
Costumes are required for the recital and must be purchased. For summer, all costumes will be ordered the first week of class. All dancers must purchase a costume unless it was previously communicated in writing before the deadline that they will not be participating. If after the deadline a dancer advises they will not be participating in the recital, costume/s that were ordered must be paid for. For fulltime students, it is assumed all dancers registered in Term 2 will be participating in our annual recital. A costume must be purchased unless it was previously communicated in writing before the deadline that they will not be participating. Communication will be sent out regarding costume fees.
All Term fees and Costume fees must be paid before the recitals. Any outstanding balances will result in a dancer not being able to participate in the recital. Dancers will not receive costume/s until all fees are current. Any items purchased by DanceSations must be returned at the end of the show. Students will be billed for any items not returned.
Recital tickets will be sold online prior to our shows. Refunds/exchanges will not be made on any purchased tickets. If for any unforeseen circumstances the show must be postponed, such as weather, tickets will not be refunded but will honored on a new date.
We often take photos and videos of classes and performances. We post these on our social media for public viewing.
